The transition to electronic document management is a challenging task for a company, though it is absolutely essential. It is not enough to simply implement electronic systems for handling documents—these documents must also be given legal validity.
Ukrainian law recognizes electronic documents as equivalent to paper ones. If an electronic document is certified with an electronic signature, it is legally valid and can be used in business document management.
Benefits of transitioning to the Unified System for Electronic Document Management (USEDM):
- 90% faster delivery of information;
- reducing the risk of document loss to nearly 0;
- cutting costs for printing, copying, mailing, and storage by 80%;
- reducing the workload on employees by 15–20%.
However, transitioning to the UZDO presents a number of challenges: overcoming staff resistance, migrating documents, and configuring various types of signatures. We’ll discuss how to address these challenges during the webinar “Electronic Signatures in Ukraine: Current Issues and Specifics of Use in Organizations” on July 5 at 11:00 a.m.
What will we discuss in the webinar?
- How is the use of electronic signatures regulated by Ukrainian law?;
- What types of EP are used in Ukraine, and where can they be obtained?;
- What types of documents can be signed using an electronic signature;
- Which documents signed by the European Parliament are valid, and which are not;
- Who is responsible for the security of the EP;
- What obstacles arise when implementing an electronic document management system at a company;
- How the implementation of the Southwestern Development Agency addresses businesses' challenges;
- 5 Reasons to Implement YUZDO.
